The European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) has been postponed and simplified. Voor Printforce en onze klanten betekent dit vooral duidelijkheid: op basis van de huidige voorstellen vallen onze producten buiten de directe EUDR-verplichtingen. In dit bericht lichten we dit kort toe en verwijzen we naar onze verklaring.
What is EUDR (and why this update)?
The EUDR (European Union Deforestation Regulation) is European legislation aimed at preventing deforestation. The regulation sets requirements for origin, traceability and supply chain responsibility, including for raw materials such as wood and paper. Recently, the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Council decided to postpone and simplify the EUDR.
What has changed?
What does this mean for Printforce and our customers?
Based on the current proposals, Printforce falls outside the direct EUDR obligations. For our customers, this means no additional EUDR documentation and no extra administrative burden in the distribution and sale of books produced by Printforce. Should this change in the future, we will of course take appropriate action and inform our customers.
Transparency and responsibility
Even though Printforce currently falls outside the EUDR obligations, transparency and supply chain responsibility remain important to us. That is why we have prepared an EUDR-compliance statement explaining our position and approach.
